Does your lawn have dead brown spots in it? Here are some simple things you can do to bring your lawn back to life.
First, you will want to go over your lawn with a leaf rake and remove any debris like rocks, weeds, dead grass, or anything else that doesn't belong on your lawn.
The second is to spread a thin layer of triple mix soil onto the patches that have died or need repair.
Next is to spread seed over your dirt and then gently rake in the seed to cover it with the soil.
Lastly is to water, but make sure not to soak the seed but to keep it moist until the grass grows. Do not mow until the new grass has grown to the height of 3" tall.
Sometimes if the weather is extremely hot for long periods of time it is recommended to lay a layer of straw over top of the seed to protect it further from drying up or blowing the seed away.
